Этот аромат от российских NŌSE Perfumes называется Lumberman. Он был создан парфюмером Тимуром Солодовым, и это мое первое знакомство и с его работой, и с этим домом. Концентрация – EDP.
Нанесенный на запястье, Lumberman предстает интенсивно маскулинным. Он заявлен как веганский, травянистый и камфорный восточный древесный аромат. Все это ясно чувствуется, но часть обаяния создают животные и кожаные ноты. Я слышу уд и смолы. Есть здесь что-то кисло-горькое, что-то цитрусовое. Но это не свежевыжатый сок, а сок, из которого извлекли эссенцию. Меня полностью захватил этот аромат и вызванные им ассоциации.
Почему-то я представляю, что выхожу ночью из такси в Нью-Йорке или другом мегаполисе. Я ступаю на асфальт. В воздухе, если позволите, витает секс. Темный проулок, куда выходит задняя дверь бара или ночного клуба, только что вымыли с чистящим средством. Вода из выжатой тряпки, еще теплая, перемешивается с эссенциями и уходит в стоки через трещины в мостовой. Ничто из этого меня не отвращает. Это всего лишь декорации для разворачивающегося действа. Быть может, наш дровосек ненадолго отложил топор и расстегнул рубашку, готовясь окунуться в ночную жизнь.
В травянистой композиции что-то дает лимонные ноты. Чувствуется веточка мяты. Но аромат не мятный, может быть, только слегка. Пробиваются легкие яркие ноты – как будто в воздухе, пока готовится выпечка, парит корица. Аромат темный, но не дымный. Я слышу смолу и темные, глубокие зеленые ноты. Травы ярко выражены. Композиция кажется почти съедобной, она могла бы быть кремовым тартом. При этом аромат нельзя назвать гурманским.
Он однозначно «только для взрослых» и вряд ли понравится двадцатилетним, желающим показать себя миру и кого-то пленить. Я потерялся во времени и пространстве, но в этом нет ничего плохого. Lumberman, этот ароматический дровосек, должен войти в мою жизнь. Аромат кажется скорее маскулинным, но, я уверен, он будет прекрасно звучать и на многих женщинах. Я советую носить его осенью и зимой.
Слышно множество нот. Все начинается с британского каннабиса. Если вам знаком Black Afgano от Nasomatto, то Lumberman его вам напомнит. Но аромат из России не такой темный и чернильный. Он скорее зеленый. Вы в это поймете, когда я назову еще две ноты, обе глубоко зеленые. Собственно, это абсент и тимьян. Получается ликер, но это запретный ликер, крепкий. Это изыск в мире легко доступного шартреза. Но ведь можно постаратьсядобыть и абсент.
Звучит тимьян, самая деликатная травянистая нота. Непохожие зеленые элементы причудливо сбалансированы. Слышны элеми и ладан. Вот уже две смолы. А еще здесь черный перец, мимоза, акация катеху, черный чай (как же умно было добавить этот ингредиент!), камбоджийский уд, кастореум, кожа, натуральный сандал, абсолют табака и, наконец, еще один зеленый элемент – ветивер. Чудесная композиция. Я оцениваю Lumberman от NŌSE Perfumes на 95% с пометкой «настоятельно рекомендую».

Put down the axe
This is the house of NŌSE Perfumes out of the Russian Federation. The fragrance is called Lumberman. The nose for this fragrance – and this is my first time experiencing both this house and a work by Timur Solodov. The concentration is an EDP.
This comes off richly masculine after swiping it on my wrist. It’s described as a vegan, herbal and camphorous oriental woody. And I definitely dig that. But it has something of an animalic or leathery appeal mixed in, for sure. I detect some form of oud and… or perhaps other resins. There is also something like a sour bitter or citrus-type essence, you know, sort of like not freshly squeezed more like… kind of juiced and then distilled, or something. I’m just mesmerized by this and where it takes me.
I'm imagining, for whatever reason, popping out of a taxi late night, say, in New York City – or some other major city – on a cobbled asphalt. There is a slight sense of, dare I say it, sex in the air. And someone has just swabbed a dark alley or the back space of a bar or some type of a nightclub with a deep pine solution. And the just wrung, still hot water and essences are going into the drain down the cracks and crevices of the street. But that doesn't deter my attraction here. In fact, it only makes for a scene that seemingly unfolds. Perhaps this lumberman has put down his axe for a while, unbuttoned his shirt to make way for some nightlife, loosening up.
There is something that reflects lemon notes inside the herbal composition. It also seems like muddled mint. It's not minty, however; maybe a little bit. There are light bright notes breathing through, the same way that cinnamon seems so fleeting in the air while baking. This is dark but not smoky. I hint resin and completely dark deep green. The herbals are richly appointed. This almost could be edible if it were in the form of, say, a cream tart. But this doesn't really go gourmand.
There's something in here that says clearly “adults only”. I don't think this would appeal to the 20-something that's looking to go out into the world and attract another. And I'm just lost in time and space a bit. And that's a good thing. I know for sure that I want for only more of this aromatic lumberman in my life. This is definitely more masculine-leaning. I'm sure there are women out there that could easily find a way to pull this off. I would recommend this mostly as an autumnal scent and going into the wintertime.
There are a lot of notes. It starts with all things British cannabis flower. But if you're familiar with Nasomatto's Black Afgano, then you'll get a little bit of the feels here, except it's not as dark and inky. Here it's definitely more in the realm of greens, which, if I tell you the next couple of notes, sort of makes even more sense because both are deeply green; and those are absinth and thyme. So you have a liqueur, but a forbidden liqueur that is really strong, and sort of à la in the world of, like, chartreuse, which is easy to find, but you can get absinthe if you try.
And thyme which, of course, is the most subtle of herbs. So there's this weird interesting balance between the different types of green elements. There is also elemi and then frankincense sacra, so you have two resins. You've got black pepper, mimosa, catechu, black tea, which I think is a smart ingredient, Cambodian oud, castoreum, leather, natural Indian Sandalwood, tobacco absolute and, lastly, another green element – vetiver. A great concoction. And I would give Lumberman by NŌSE Perfumes a solid 95% “highly recommended”.
